Elbert Caballero
The art of abstract painter Elbert Caballero are fragments of his memories that inspire a lot from his environment. His early training as an artist consisted in painting still life, portrait, landscape etc. and considers artists Renoir, Seurat, Monet and Yayoi Kusama as his great influences. Furthermore Elbert’s journey as an artist develops a new dimension of chaotic color combinations using the unconventional method of pointillism, the science of optics in order to create colors from many tiny dots close to each other that they would blur into an image to the eye.
The technique using a simple fishnet is a very tedious and intricate art process to form an image. His subjects are also extremely spontaneous that transcend every element into an essential force in order to create an expression that confronts the artist’s struggles and experiences. Up to this date Elbert Caballero has been exhibiting in various galleries around the metro and is gaining a lot of attention as a new emerging artist to watch out for.
